I decided that I am going to read more this year, and I am trying to read at least 2 books a month. I just completed the first book for the year: How life imitates chess, by Gary Kasparov.

I am a big chess fan and have been playing chess since primary school, I also try and play weekly on chess.com. Being a chess player I enjoyed this book a lot because Gary gives information about a lot of his games before and while he was the world champion, explaining different strategies and why he made certain decisions, some of them right and others wrong, he then make use of business and personal examples to show how chess relates to them and also the strategies that goes along with it.

He encourages trying new things, and always being on step ahead, either on the chess board or in business. You don’t need to be a chess player to enjoy this book, it will give you valuable advice and you will see certain situations a lot different than in the past.
